Where I came from
I was born in Kendal in Cumbria, and I’ve been working with images for more than 15 years. I studied Fine Art at Arts University Bournemouth, then spent years as a wedding coordinator and events operations manager, and somewhere along the way I fell in love with how visual storytelling can make people feel something before they’ve read a word.
Photography came first, and I realised the same instincts for light, composition and mood applied to logos, colour palettes and websites. So I build brands that photograph beautifully, sit right on a website and work across everything, because I’ve worked across all of it.
The bit I tell everyone anyway
I’m ten years sober, and that decade has been full of inner and outer work, from Reiki and Transformational Bodywork to years of yoga, breathwork, ecstatic dance and more than a few retreats. It’s helped me build a slower, more intentional life that actually suits me, and it’s shaped how I work too.
I know how vulnerable it feels to put yourself and your work out into the world, especially after years of being brilliant at what you do for someone else, so I don’t just hand over a logo and a website and wave you off. I help you build a brand that feels like you and a business that fits around your life rather than swallowing it.
What it’s like working with me
I listen first because getting the most out of you for your brand come from me understanding you, not from what’s trending this year or this month. I speak in plain (Northern) English, so if you have a question about anything at all I will be able to answer you in speak you will understand, no jargon and you’ll know how to look after your own website once we are done. I’m honest, and I’ll tell you kindly if something isn’t working or there’s an easier way. I stay calm, thanks to years of running events with a hundred moving parts and lastly I stick around after launch for photography, content or if you need any help with anything.

Studios exists
For a long time I was doing bits of everything for everyone, and it was good work but scattered. The turning point was noticing that the businesses I loved most were run by women building something deeply personal, and the ones struggling weren’t short of talent, they just didn’t have a brand that reflected who they really were. Wild Mind Studios exists for them.

Outside the Studio
I live in Wivenhoe, a quietly magical village on the Essex coast, with my lovely husband Matt. Life here looks like morning walks along the estuary, afternoons with a camera, and evenings with a good series, a romantasy novel or something sweet.
I don’t think you need to know all of that to hire me, but I do think my work is shaped by it, by someone who pays close attention, finds meaning in small things and genuinely cares about getting it right.
